It's that time of year again, the climax of nine months of mud-bound tensions as the football fixtures tick down,Welcome to SKY Cycling online, we supply most popular and valuable wholesale products. the final jagged twists are played out and at long last – who knew? – Bayern Munich and Barcelona win the league again. Bayern won their 23rd title this week, Bastian Schweinsteiger popping the cork on the Bundeschampagne with a back-heeled winner against Eintracht Frankfurt. In Spain, Barca beat Real Mallorca 5-0 to reopen a deeply familiar-looking unassailable 13-point lead at the top of La Liga. In England, Manchester United moved closer to the title despite losing 2-1 at home to their closest rivals Manchester City. United remain 12 points clear of City with seven games to play.
Podium poopers
Another minor setback in cycling's yellow dawn: Team Sky were again barged off the podium as Fabian Cancellara won his third Paris-Roubaix title in thrilling style, seeing off Belgian Sep Vanmarcke at the last. Meanwhile, more misfortune for that nice Lance Armstrong who has been in court defending himself against a $12m lawsuit relating to bonuses paid for winning the Tour de France, which, it turns out, he didn't actually do. Armstrong, who is also being sued by the Sunday Times and – let's face it – pretty much everyone, had also been barred from competing in the US Masters swimming championships last weekend. Which, for some reason, he seemed to think might be a good idea.

Kicking off with a prosaic six-wicket victory for Kolkata Knight Riders over Delhi Daredevils on a slow, low Eden Gardens pitch. Two days later a tournament of 76 matches over six weeks was given its first jolt of life by Chris Gayle's murderous 92 off 58 balls as Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Mumbai. Meanwhile, the first class season begins in England this week. Current forecast: sleet, snow and a chance of hand-wringing.
All teed up for the Masters
Also kicking off this week, an unusually intriguing Masters at Augusta, with Tiger Woods looking considerably more like the new Tiger Woods than new Tiger Woods Rory McIlroy, who continued his form slump at the Texas Open after being added at the 11th hour in the hope of finding some form. Also in Augusta is 14-year-old Chinese Guan Tianlang, the Open's youngest-ever qualifier who – the scamp – has already predicted he's going to win it.
