Since first opened in Hanoi in 2008, the Hermes shop has regularly seen profits increase gradually by 20 to 30 percent every year. It sells various luxury products costing from US$ 10,000 to $150,000 each. It must be noted that Vietnam is a developing country whose per capita income in 2012 is only US$ 1,400 per year.

A grand hotel, an illicit affair, a hasty departure of a woman with a coat lapped over lacy lingerie. And back through the half open door, the shadow of a man dressing furtively behind the travel trunks.

The Louis Vuitton show on Wednesday was an exercise in the erotic.we offer kinds of discount gucci handbags Pro Headphones online . It unrolled like a silent movie. Even if the soundtrack was from “The Tree of Life” and its 1950s family, the mood was the 1920s as the women, faces a gash of bright lipstick, came through each door on the corridor that was the hotel set. Last out was the designer Marc Jacobs, in LV colorful silk men’s pajamas with patterns by the British artist duo Jake and Dinos Chapman.

“I’m always in my pajamas,” said Mr. Jacobs backstage as he cuddled Kate Moss, whose single appearance on the runway was in a fragile lace dress revealing the briefest of underthings.

The story was in phase with the autumn 2013 Paris season: femininity under cover. Soft lace was hidden under a long tweed coat with a sprinkling of sparkle at the hem. In other incarnations of inner and outer wear, a fluffy sweater came with a slip of a skirt and a velvet dress had a swoop of neckline. The bag of the season was in luxurious deep-pile fur.

This fashion movie had several flashbacks to “The Artist,” the 2011 film that brought to silent life the dreams of early Hollywood. But mostly the Vuitton show recalled the romantic sensuality of John Galliano in his early days. That particular hard romance lived on in the Louis Vuitton sheath that went from bra top through tweed body to lace hem.

The Marc Jacobs message was so clearly and invitingly portrayed that it raised the fashion desire that has been pushing through the Paris season.

At other times, the designer might have concentrated on Louis Vuitton’s lust for travel. This time around, it was just about lust.

What a contrast at Hermès! The absolute and timeless elegance of place and vision made for a unique collection. This Canadian-made Canada Goose Banff Parka from Canada Goose is one bright affair. After tinkering with fashion-led collections, the designer Christophe Lemaire in his fourth season hit target,The Canada Goose Victoria Parka is simple, yet classic, and designed to be worn where extreme weather protection is a necessity. by underlining what Hermès stands for: slow, quiet, beautiful and enduring style. Or as the Hermès artistic director, Pierre-Alexis Dumas, put it : “Parisian elegance and timeless beauty.”

The choice of place said it all: the library on the rooftop of an old Parisian school, where guests were greeted with a horse-blanket coat thrown over a chair and by velvet sofas on which to drink in the beauty of historic books.

The show was equally about calm and lasting value, with its supple lambskin jacket or a pony skin outfit with the sheen of silk. How hard it is to produce clothes that are both of the moment but beyond fashion’s hurly burly. Although it looked so effortless, the designer must have worked to meld the textures of goatskin, lamb and what the notes described as “moiré calfskin.”

He would layer a stone wool coat over a long silver gray fur gilet; take ginger suede to fashion a jacket and skirt falling to the over-the-knee length that sums up what the French call “bon chic bon genre.” Translation? The antithesis of fast fashion or bling.

“Frivolity — starting from sport,” said Miuccia Prada of her Miu Miu collection, which gave a similar definitive fashion statement as the pantsuits of a year ago. This time the story was of long, lean silhouettes leading to mid-calf skirts, although, this being Ms. Prada, the apparently sober women, with a hint of the 1980s in the Y-shaped silhouette, showed a slither of bare flesh at the high thigh as they walked across the specially constructed metal runway.

This Miu Miu collection had a frisky spirit, from the double-breasted and belted jackets through a parka version and then on to the slim coats. The best of them were in merry polka dots — pink, yellow and blue — with a contrasting spotted scarf.Pages in category "Canada Goose Trillium Parka".

And at the heart of it all the message that has been pulsating through the Paris season: female sexuality is a strong undercurrent that does not have to be physically displayed to the world.

“It was all about a snowflake falling in love with a polar bear,” said Giambattista Valli backstage as a furry white figure embraced a model with sparkles of crystal on her face and her shiny puffa jacket.

How lucky is Moncler Gamme Rouge to have a designer who can capture its snow business so concisely and in such a charming way! From the Inuits in patchwork fur coats leading their huskies though piles of melting “snow” to them arriving on overhead wires, the women expressed a similar spirit. They wore plaid outerwear, fur mixed with digital animal prints or the backdrop’s iceberg image recreated as a pattern.

The Grecian drapes so beloved by Madeleine Vionnet had an outing in the second half of the Vionnet show, under the new ownership of the fashion entrepreneur Goga Ashkenazi. And that fall of fabric, clinched by a gilded Grecian belt, was a neat fit with the abstracted Grecian columns, recreated in metal mesh for the runway.

That idea of forcing classics into the future was the theme — and it made the first daywear part seem too streamlined, graphic and predictable in a season when the geometric look is melting away. Vionnet has had so many reincarnations, offering everything from scarf print drapes to patterned day wear, that this show at least made a good job of cleansing the palate.

Elie Saab gave his version of fashion sobriety, which was to cover the skin but focus on the bosoms — by rounding the bodice or even by putting a patch of decorative fabric in the two crucial spots. All that — the long-sleeved day dresses and even a streamlined jump suit — was a prelude to lace, Mr.View our complete selection of Canada Goose Solaris Parka Jackets. Saab’s favorite. The designer cuts and places perfectly these decorative pieces, but something else is happening in fashion now rather than just making pretty dresses.

When it comes to TV wedding shows always seem to do well with Don't Tell the Bride being a big success on BBC3 for over five years while the Big Fat Gypsy Wedding franchise bought Channel 4 some of its best ratings in years.we offer kinds of discount gucci handbags Pro Headphones online . Now ITV is getting in on the act with The Wedding Shop a one-off documentary focusing on Leeds-based bridal shop Confetti and Lace and the women who come through the doors of the store to pick outfits for their big day.Women Canada Goose Resolute Parka.

Our two central characters are shop manager Marg and her assistant Jane who both work for shop manager Abby and appear to have a fine working relationship. Both clearly love their job as they both enjoy getting to know the brides-to-be and think it's an honour to be involved with a woman's big day even if it is just helping them on with their dresses. The fresh and unique styling of duvetica down jackets perfectly caters to a young and funky audience. This episode of The Wedding Shop features three brides the first of whom is Tammy a Londoner who moved to Leeds eight years ago to be with her soon-to-be husband Andy with the two later having a son Eddie. Tammy arrives at Confetti and Lace with her grandmother Betty as she wanted a female family member present during her wedding with Betty replacing the mother she hasn't spoken to in five years.

It appears as well as if Andy's mother Lynn has become like a surrogate mother to Tammy and Marg comments on how she loves it when mothers-in-law are involved in the dress-buying process mainly because she herself only has a son. While Tammy doesn't speak to her mother she has reunited with Chris the father who missed her growing up but has been quite close to her since she was a teenager. For me Chris was the best part of Tammy's story as he was an aging punk rocker who refused to wear a full suit and tie instead coming in his grey jacket accompanied by a T-Shirt displaying the logo of his favourite heavy metal band. Chris' ever-changing Mohican also seems to be a source of pride but means that he has to keep seeing Tammy's mother as she is hairdresser. Though for the most part Chris keeps his emotions under check he does come across as endearing when he describes giving Tammy away as ‘the highlight of his life' while he also gets quite emotional when seeing her in her dress for the first time describing it as ‘the bollocks'.

Next up was Jo who'd started life as a cocktail waitress until meeting and falling in love with self-made millionaire Darren who she later married. Nine years later Jo and Darren are renewing their vows and she hopes that her parents will attend the wedding this time having previously no-showed their daughter's previous nuptials due to their religious beliefs. It later transpires that Jo was bought up as a Jehovah's Witness but when she strayed from the religion her parents essentially disowned her and have had very little to do with her since then.

However recently Jo has returned to the religion on a part-time basis attending various meetings in attempt to build bridges with her family and hopes that her reaching out to them will result in them attending her wedding.Clearance of Canada Goose Snow Mantra Parka is very popular in the our online store. Darren though, who to me came across as just a little bit obnoxious, is happy about Jo taking their children to some of the meetings and is adamant that they won't be raised as Jehovah's Witnesses as he doesn't seem to be a man who takes religion seriously at all. Meanwhile Jo's trips to Confetti and Lace see her try on the ‘Rolls Royce of Wedding Dresses' as well as discuss her plans to have the vow renewal ceremony at Harewood House with herself and Darren exchanging vows on the top of the house's veranda.Read 16 independent user reviews and compare prices on the Men's HyBridge Jacket. Jo is also conscious that her parents may not appreciate her having an audacious wedding so she promises to keep the bling to a minimum if they do decide to attend however if they no-show again then she reveals she'll go all out to make the ceremony as lavish as possible. Ultimately though we never find out if Jo's parents accepted her invitation to the event and to me this meant that her story was a little anticlimactic.

The third time will almost certainly be a charm for Banana Republic, as the retailer rolls out yet another capsule collection of crisp styles inspired by AMC's hit drama Mad Men.

The collection takes a cue from the mod fashion scene of the late 1960s,The Canada Goose Langford Parka held the heat in for miss Romijn, and it will do the same for you. following the show's characters as they made their way through that turbulent and iconic era of American history last season. (Mad Men will return for a sixth season with a special two-hour premiere on April 7 at 9 p.m.The Best moncler jackets for sale White Mens will meet your satisfaction! ET/PT.)

"I think we were already feeling a little bit of that '60s vibe coming through from a trend point of view, between color and pattern, and even the shorter length (of hemlines)," says Simon Kneen, Banana Republic's creative director and executive vice president of design. "It felt easy to translate. For us, it didn't feel unnatural to go that way; it felt very like a very easy, natural fit."

Just as they did with the previous Mad Men-based collections, which launched in 2011 and 2012, Kneen and his design team worked closely with the show's Emmy-winning costume designer,Free shipping for Canada Goose Womens Snow Mantra Parka, lifetime quality guarante at Canada Goose Outlet. Janie Bryant.

"She always brings such amazing inspiration for us to work from. She'll do her research, she'll bring in some of the pieces from the series, she'll talk about the characters. She'll talk in-depth about why details are so important related to the characters.View our complete selection of Canada Goose Solaris Parka Jackets. And all this is amazing inspiration for myself and the design team to work from, so we need Janie. It's not like we can work in a bubble on this," Kneen says.

The collection makes its debut Wednesday in stores and online, and shoppers will be able to choose from more than 50 items of apparel and accessories for men and women that range in price from $29.50 to $375, including include dresses, pants, jackets, fedoras and ties.

Kneen adds that with such a successful, synergy-infused working relationship, fans of the show and the store should not discount a fourth collaboration. "Maybe the series will move onto the '70s, and we'll see what that will bring."

Gingham shell and capris

"The whole geo thing, from a prints and pattern, up until that point, everything was very natural and floral, almost pictoral. And, then the whole influence of space travel, modernism, modern design, cubism, Mondrian, all of those modern paintings and artists were very influential in the late '60s in the design. Later, they got into psychedelia with the drugs and etc., and everything got paisley, but before, there was that moment when geos were extremely important from a fashion point of view."

Green printed dress

"That's a knit jersey, and even the fabric here has a little bit of nylon synthetic in there that was of the time. If you remember, it was really important bringing synthetics into the clothes because of the practicalities of it was a big thing during the late '60s," Kneen explains. "It comes with a little felt belt that Janie was passionate about, because she always felt that there was a little bit of cinch on the waist without it being overexaggerated. It just added a little bit of ease and accentuation."

Red printed dress

"Again, that kind of shift idea, which doesn't seem extraordinary now, but of course, you can imagine at the time, these softer shapes, after women wearing such construction from underwear upwards, suddenly being in a relatively loose shift shape was very dramatic and very daring at the time. Not least, of course, she's showing all that leg. So it really is very iconic of the time, the shirtdress."

Chambray sport coat

"A big shift that Janie alluded to in the series is that they guys were suddenly - it wasn't cool to wear a suit. It was actually cooler to wear your sports jacket and look like you stepped off the golf course," Kneen says. "At the time, it was very informal and very anti-establishment. That (jacket) was taken directly from a swatch, if I remember correctly, that Janie provided us with that we had reproduced . Straight from the set."

Black and white clutch

"Black and white is iconic, but at the time, that optic use of color was revolutionary, because everything (before) was very natural and very colorful. Women wore pink or yellow or pale green, and colors weren't glaring," Kneen says. "So to go from that to an antithesis of this geometric black and white in any form was, again, very,Enjoy the fastest delivery and in our moncler down coats. very modern, very anti-establishment."

One recent afternoon, Susan Beehler, who may be the only gun-control advocate in all of North Dakota, walked into VFW Post 762, a dimly lit, wood-paneled bar in downtown Fargo.

It was, perhaps, the gun-friendliest place in one of the gun-friendliest states in America; a state where gun rights are so sacred that violent felons can have them restored, where guns are so ordinary that a handwritten flier for high-capacity ammunition clips was recently posted on a grocery store bulletin board,Women Canada Goose Resolute Parka. next to one for a pinochle tournament.

Still, Beehler was optimistic. She headed for a table in the corner, where two men wearing flannel buffalo plaid were sipping drinks.

"Hello there!" she said. "I'm with the Million Moms for Gun Control group, and we're looking for responsible gun owners!"

Dick Coleman, who owns 15 guns, and Pete Schlenker, who owns 33, nodded.
"We're just moms interested in reasonable controls that people can live with," she continued, trying to sound nonthreatening. "Like limiting the number of bullets in magazines? Or universal background checks? That kind of thing —"

"Yep," Schlenker said. Coleman just sipped his drink. Beehler, a little nervous, kept on with her pitch, unsure where it was all going.

President Barack Obama, speaking after the school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, that left 20 children and six adults dead, said he was sure that "the vast majority of responsible, law-abiding gun owners" would support gun-control measures such as universal background checks or a ban on assault rifles. He appealed to the grassroots: Passing the new laws would require "a wave of Americans . . . standing up and saying ‘enough' on behalf of our kids."

The White House strategy is all the more critical in states such as North Dakota, where Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, a Democrat with an A rating from the National Rifle Association, was elected in November. Winning over Heitkamp and other Democrats from gun-friendly states such as New Mexico, Indiana and West Virginia is the least of what the White House must accomplish to pass changes to gun laws,Shop the latest collection of monster beats cheap from the most popular stores . to say nothing of securing the necessary Republican votes.

At the moment, though, there is virtually no ground game toward that end in North Dakota. Democrats are laying low on the issue. Obama's vaunted campaign machine, now called Organizing for Action, has not organized any action.

One Washington-based group,The Canada Goose Constable Parka is a stylish down jacket made in Canada. the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, did try running full-page ads blasting Heitkamp — "Shame on you," they read — after she described the president's proposals as "way in the extreme of what I think is necessary or should even be talked about." But that did not seem to have much effect.

And so for now, the cause of gun control in North Dakota is in the hands of Susan Beehler, 54, mother of five and occasional civic gadfly whose past causes have included dairy farmers, baby seals, arthritis and abolishing property taxes, none of which affected her like the Sandy Hook shootings.
She had sat for hours watching the news from Newtown unfold in her living room and vowed to do something. A few weeks later, she started a North Dakota chapter of a group called One Million Moms for Gun Control and started studying up on assault rifles and statistics on gun deaths.

She more or less agreed with what Obama had said about gun owners. As a North Dakotan who grew up around guns and once sold them at Woolco in the 1980s, she felt qualified to take on the cause. She would canvass for support. She would venture into bars and have reasoned conversations.

"I'm the lone ranger!" she said as she went public with her Million Moms Facebook page. (The organization has since changed its name to Moms Demand Action.)

A few hours later, came the first two respoThe Canada Goose Victoria Parka is simple, yet classic, and designed to be worn where extreme weather protection is a necessity.nses: One was a photo of a man shooting a rifle along with a suggestion that she learn how to use one. The other read, "Shame on you."
Beehler, who does not own a gun, joked that her life insurance policy was up to date. "Hopefully I can find a few other brave souls," she said.

A couple of days later, Beehler noted 19 "likes" on her Facebook page. Roughly half were from out of state. Someone from New Orleans had sent her a rap video about gun control that stuck in her head. An old colleague expressed support, though she was unwilling to "go public," as she put it. Beehler had met two other women in Fargo who were willing to help.

Now she was pulling into the snow-packed parking lot of Scheel's, a sporting goods chain that gained national attention recently for helping the West Fargo Hockey Association with a 200-gun raffle of Remingtons and Glocks.

Beehler figured it was a good place to canvass gun owners, and she had prepared a stack of fliers with her group's Facebook address and logos of little hearts.
It was freezing outside, which made her artificial hips ache. She zeroed in on a man in camouflage across the parking lot, applied lipstick and climbed out of the car.

"Hi there!" yelled Beehler, a solitary figure with blazing red hair shuffling across the snow. "I'm starting a group called a Million Moms for Gun Control, and I was wondering about your feelings on reforming gun laws?"

"As long as you don't want to take my guns away," the man said, taking a flier and hurrying along.
Beehler trotted over to a man in a shearling jacket — "I'm busy," he said — and then stopped a woman with two boys wearing camouflage jackets.

"No thank you," she said after Beehler made her pitch.
A man with a thick mustache and cowboy hat was heading in her direction.

"Excuse me," Beehler said, introducing herself. "What we'd like the discussion to be about is responsible gun ownership, not ‘guns or no guns.' So I was wondering, do you think I'm a crazy lady?"

"No," said the man, smiling.
"What's your idea of gun control?" she asked, deciding that she should be solicitous rather than argumentative.

"I think there should be better background checks," he said.

"I see. And what about assault weapons, do you think people need those?"
"No one needs those,Womens Canada Goose Kensington Parka Hyacinth." he said and took one of the fliers in a gloved hand.

It was snowing, and Beehler was emboldened. She decided to try an indoor venue, and headed over to the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall.

Although roughly half of all North Dakotans own guns, what people there as a whole think about the gun-control proposals in play is something of a mystery.
There are no recent state polls on the issue. A recent gun-rights rally outside the state Capitol in Bismarck drew about 100 people amid the chilly winter weather. Newspapers have published letters on both sides of the issue. In January, state legislators introduced bills to allow people with permits to carry concealed guns in schools and churches, and another that would punish police who enforce any future federal gun law changes.

Milan designers chose structured, architectural looks in their collections for next year.

On the runways, the basic silhouette is voluminous, though cinched at the waist and often with a slim bottom. The Canada Goose Constable Parka is a stylish down jacket made in Canada. Drapes and pleats softened and gave movement to what could otherwise have been rigid looks.

Shoulders play a big role — but this is no return to the 1980s padded shoulders. Instead, these are true products of design, artfully conceived and executed. Sometimes they are squared, sometimes rounded, and at times even pleated.
Colours are bold — oranges, reds, yellows — often on a black background. Black mingles with white in geometric designs. But the real stamp of luxury is gold, embroidery, brocade, in entire outfits or accents.

Pants are really an afterthought. Most of the architectural inspiration has been focused on skirts, dresses and outerwear.Womens Canada Goose Kensington Parka Hyacinth. So much the better for showing off all the fantastic shoes.

BOTTEGA VENETA
Bottega Veneta's looks for women next winter project strength and decision. Creative director Tomas Maier's collection was precisely constructed, with blunt pleats, ruffles and draping that created both volume and movement while enhancing the figure.

Materials define the fall-winter 2013-14 collection. Maier worked with wool to create new looks, from plush to felty to subdued.

Coats, which led off the collection, were belted with thin leather strips or ribbons, the look finished with fine leather gloves. Architectural structuring catches the eye from a distance, and detailing like raised decorative piping keeps the viewer enthralled from a closer view.
Colours tended toward the dark, black and grays, with flashes of red, yellow and curry.

JIL SANDER
Jil Sander is back, and it shows. Belgian designer Raf Simons, now with Dior, had livened up the minimalist label with bold colours and inventive styles. But since the company's founder took back the reins a year ago, the style has reverted to precise, disciplined tailoring, for the most part in no-nonsense colours.

Big double-breasted coats, jackets with sculpted shoulders, pleated skirts and tailored dresses, all combine to create a fashion code based on geometric shapes in the collection presented Saturday.

But if the style and, sometimes even the fabric,The Canada Goose Victoria Parka is simple, yet classic, and designed to be worn where extreme weather protection is a necessity. are rigid,Shop the latest collection of monster beats cheap from the most popular stores . the effect of the latest Sander collection is more sensual than sensible, obtained by the generous pleating and draping used throughout the show.

PUCCI
It was a naughty little show, but quite a relief from the Goth fashion prevalent on the current Milan runway.

The mood at the Emilio Pucci show for next fall “is playful and unapologetically optimistic,” Norwegian designer Peter Dundas said in the notes for the collection.

The “Pucci Girl” is carefree, glamorous and sassy. She likes hot pants, miniskirts and thigh-high boots that cling like a second skin. She's not satisfied with just a mink jacket. It has to be fabulously pink and puffy.

For evening she decorates her shorts and matching top with glittery sequins, and switches to stiletto pumps, baring her legs.

Much of the collection's night wear is a flirtatious combination of sheer fabrics, prints and embroidery. The Midas touch comes in tunic dresses and gowns held together by myriad gilded beads.

CAVALLI
For designer Roberto Cavalli, it was a very quiet and surprisingly elegant show.

The master of sexy fashion shunned his trademark animal prints and body-clinging clothes, replacing them with sparkling fabric in high society styles.

But despite the glitter there was something dark about the womenswear collection, a reflection of the prevailing aggressive mood of this round of preview showings.

The extravagant fur coats for example, shaggy and black with splashes of bright red or yellow, were something Cruella De Vil, Disney's despised dognapper, might favour.Women Canada Goose Resolute Parka. The shoes, too, came with a nasty high metal heel.

But the series of cocktail and evening dresses, with hand-stitched sequined prints inspired by works in the museums of designer Cavalli's native Florence were literally awesome. Whether floor length, with dipping neckline, or short with demure pleated skirt and sleeveless top, the outfits are a treat to the eye and a relief from the edgy feel of next winter's fashion.

The sound of gasping breaths followed by frantic chest compressions filled an inquest courtroom Monday as video of the last-ditch efforts to save a troubled teenager was screened for jurors.

But the 20 minutes of thump-thump would be too late to save Ashley Smith, who had strangled herself in her segregation cell.

For initial interminably long minutes, guards had simply watched Smith on the floor -- wedged between a steel cot and the wall -- as she occasionally heaved, her dying gasps audible.

Smith, in a restraint jacket, has her head pressed against the wall, a ligature around her neck. She is mostly motionless.

"It's been long enough for me to take that off," a guard calls through the door.

"Sit up so you can come over here and I can cut it off."

No movement.

"Ashley. Can you get it off yourself?"

No one tries to get to her, as the video rolls, focused on the seemingly lifeless body, her face turning purple.

At 06:58:06, according to the video, guards dressed in full gear enter the small cell. They don't touch her, but back out amid calls for a nurse.

"'Ashley! Come on. Wake up."

They then go in, give her oxygen.

"Are you getting air in?" "No." "Ashley. Come on.The Canada Goose Trillium Parkaa is made longer to protect thighs from extreme cold . Breathe."

A guard pumps Smith's chest while another gives mouth to mouth.

"Good job, guys. Just keep going," a woman urges.

They finally drag her from the cell as firefighters and paramedics arrive and take over efforts to revive the teen.

One female guard looks totally crestfallen.

"Analyzing rhythm," a mechanical voice sounds. "Do not touch the patient."

"Is she breathing or what? Ashley!" another inmate yells.

About a half-hour later, Smith is finally wheeled out.

The video was taken by Valentino (Rudy) Burnett, a fill-in guard from another institution who had just completed a night shift and he was about to go home.

An all-call for help sounded and he went down to the segregation area, wearing his overcoat, Burnett testified.

"My first question was: What do you guys want me to do?" Burnett said.

"They asked me if I would be video camera operator. They told me they were going to possibly enter Miss Smith's cell."

He was given a camera and he "basically hit record," he said.

"I do what they asked me to do. This was all new to me."

Burnett had been asked to fill in from his regular gig at another institution in Hamilton because he had previously worked at Grand Valley, where he was told staff members were "burning out" and "getting exasperated."

He told the inquest he knew almost nothing about Smith, beyond picking up from other guards that she was a "problematic inmate."

"Will you agree with me, Mr. Burnett, that you in essence videoed somebody's death?" asked Julian Falconer, the Smith family lawyer.

"While I was videotaping her, I saw her chest rising on a number of occasions. I saw her breathing on a number of occasions. As far as I was concerned, I was videotaping a live person."

"Your position today is she wasn't in trouble. I didn't video her death. She didn't need to be saved. Instead of videotaping her, you should have put the camera down and stepped in and saved her life," Falconer persisted.

"No.The Men's duvetica down jackets is the stylish choose for you're to wear when you are walk on the city streets. That's not my job. I was just concerned with doing with I was asked to do."

"I'm going to suggest this has haunted you."

"It's disturbing."

In a perfect world, Burnett said, he would intervene to try to save a life. The other problem is that a kayak makes ss uniform a sound like a drum.

"In a correctional world,Buy Fashion moncler down coats with big discount! it's a different story."

Burnett was initially charged with criminal negligence in Smith's death, but the charge was later dropped.

He told lawyer Howard Rubel,The Canada Goose Camp Down maintains a high fashion profile. who represents the jail guards' union, he could hear breathing in the cell before officers went in.

"I remember somebody saying: 'While she's breathing, we're not supposed to enter the cell'."

Guards disobeyed the directive and went in anyway, Burnett agreed.

On his second fill-in shift there, he said, he had seen guards dragging Smith out of an interview room.

"She had something tied around her neck," he said.

"Did anybody tell you what you should do if you saw that happen?" coroner's counsel Jocelyn Speyer asked.

"No. I was not given any directives."

Smith, 19, of Moncton, N.B., died Oct. 19., 2007 after tying a ligature around her neck, something she had done several times before.

Earlier in the day, an assistant warden at Grand Valley denied authorities had spruced up the death cell before jurors toured last Thursday.

Tony Simoes, who led the tour, described photographs of the cells and what was in them.

Falconer suggested the steel cot in the cell would have been uncomfortable for anyone to sleep on.

"Is sleep deprivation part of (Correctional Service of Canada) punishment?" Falconer asked.

"I cannot comment on that," Simoes responded.

David L. Alfonso, 28, of Monroe Street, has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, second-degree strangulation and second-degree assault and is being held on $1 million bail in the Niagara County Jail. A woman has spoken of her shock after falling prey to an audacious theft in a busy town centre car park.

Melanie Amps, 43, thought she had run someone over as she reversed her car out of a bay in Waitrose car park in Bury St Edmunds on New Year's Eve.

She got out to find a man on the ground while another man got into her car, removed a bank card from her purse and withdrew 280 from her bank account at a nearby cash point.

She said: “I thought I had run over a child because there was a thud and a body on the floor.

“I started shouting 'can I have some help?'. While that was happening another voice shouted 'you're being robbed'.

“I think they targeted me because I was a woman on my own.”

Mrs Amps, who is a nurse at West Suffolk Hospital, thanked those in the car park who helped her.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk Police confirmed the person who ran off was a male wearing a grey woolly hat, a blueish Parker jacket with diamond patterns and was unshaven.

“I wanted to be an actress before I understood anything else about my life, before I went to school” – she grew up in New Canaan, Conn. – “before I understood what it is that my dad does,” Williams says. “It was innate. Everything, everything that's ever happened in my life happened within the framework of my knowing that this was where I was going to end up. So in school, I could learn purely for the sake of learning. It gave me this almost gluttonous sense of intellectual curiosity. I never want to stop learning.”

She launches into a longish story: At Yale, she once asked for an extension to take a psychology exam because she was too immersed in a play to study. “It was one of the most empowering, thoughtful things I've ever heard from someone,” she continues. “The fact that our actions can tell us what we want. You realize,Offer hermes handbags, hermes kelly and many other styles. 'Oh, I must care about this, and not about that.' “This is the time when you realize and recognize some things about yourself,” Williams says, summing up both the appeal of Girls and this period of her own life. “And then the question is, Are you woman enough to deal with them? To live the rest of your life being aware of your flaws, and dealing with them on a daily basis – correcting the ones that affect other people, and working around or learning to love the ones that don't.”
